I am Jeffrey J. Blevins and I would be honored to represent you in the United States Congress. I want to take an active role in reigning in reckless spending, restoring lost liberties, and defending all American’s constitutionally recognized rights.
I am a common man, with common American values. My parents taught me that one should be as fruitful in life as one's work ethic is strong. As a working class man I know well the rigors of daily life and the burden the government has become.
Ohioans endure the same hardships facing many Americans. Our families sacrifice hard earned luxuries so that the government can redistribute our hard earned dollars to others in an effort to gain votes.
In 2010 I ran for Congress because I felt then as I do now that it is my civic duty to make Ohio's 16th Congressional District's voices heard in this time of uncertainty. Two-Party politics have decimated this nation. The current administration has promised change, but all we have seen is more of the same.
I feel that our nation has been on the wrong course for several years now and neither incumbent seems to know what legislation to introduce to right our course. We need fiscal restraint, Constitutional accountability, and cooperation to turn America back in the right direction.
Congressional roll calls fall along party lines while constituencies are ignored. Citizens realize that there are more than two ways to address issues facing this nation, but our political system fails to recognize this. Ohio needs to hear alternative voices speak out for liberty and I offer my voice.
As American’s have started to realize the erosion of our God given rights, our government moves to strip them from us under the guise of security.
Future generations of Americans should be grateful that they were born in a free nation, where liberty rules and government knows its place. It is our responsibility to make sure this is the case.
It was not our forefathers’ intent to have an all-powerful government. Much to the contrary, they sought to limit the reach of government into the lives of citizens. Not only are the two governing parties out of ideas to relieve our plight, they are the cause of our misfortune. Now, I ask for your support, your help, and your vote to get our nation back on track.
I am running for the U.S. House of Representatives to protect the inalienable rights of all Americans as described in our Constitution. I will fight for all Ohioans against those who threaten our individual sovereignty.
It is time for common citizens to act. As your Congressman, I will fight to insure that no Ohioan will have to explain to future generations that freedom and liberty were taken from them while we did nothing to stop it
